It’s Like Coming Home Again
|
Canada’s Greatest Hockey Dad, Walter Gretzky, will be back on the rink in Huntsville this winter when he attends the 'Masters Championship' weekend (Feb 5-7) of 2010 National Pond Hockey Championships. It has been close to 40 years since Walter coached the Gretzky boys on the backyard rink, and after being named ‘Honorary Coach’ of The Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships this week, Mr. Gretzky said, ‘It’s like coming home again’. Neil Lumsden, Tournament Director, said “Having Walter Gretzky involved with the tournament really is a dream come true for us. Mr. Gretzky has been an international ambassador to the game of hockey for many years, and we are very, very pleased to have him involved.”
